EJCDC® E-571, 2026 Short Form of Agreement Between Engineer and Subconsultant for Professional Services, is a concise agreement for use when an Engineer retains a Subconsultant to perform professional services of limited scope and complexity. Intended as a streamlined alternative to EJCDC E-570, the E-571 contains the core terms needed to form the Engineer-Subconsultant professional services agreement, while omitting many of the more detailed provisions found in the E-570. Particularly well suited for lower-risk projects where the E-520, Short Form of Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services, is used as the prime agreement.
